Description: Second Empire-style farmhouse built in the late 1800s for Charles St-Denis. Sold in 1909 to James Morgan of Henry Morgan & Co. Two years later, Morgan donated the house and some land to the newly incorporated City of Baie d’Urfé to be used as its City Hall. The Palladian entrance is an addition designed by architect Edward Maxwell in 1914.

This Montreal financier was a leading force in making Baie d’Urfé a popular summer destination, with the construction of a station, a park, etc. Two years later, when the City of Baie d’Urfé was incorporated.
