Photo - Heritage Trail PlaquePlaque text and image (if available): In 1706, Antoine Pilon purchased a piece of land in Pointe-Claire, on which he built this farmhouse in about 1710. Four generations of Pilons lived in this French-style pièces sur pièces (log) house built of hand-squared timbers. In 1979, it was meticulously restored to its original appearance by the owner, André Charbonneau. A “bas-côté” (side kitchen) was added to the main building at this time, respecting the old French style. The house still has its original fireplace. The bread oven built into the chimney remains to be restored.
