Plaque text and image (if available): The architecture of Beaucet house is reminiscent of American East Coast summer homes, inspired by the idea of romantic country living. The extensive use of shingles characteristic of the “Arts and Crafts-Shingle” style is particularly noteworthy in the architectural treatment of this home built at the turn of the 20th century. The home features a carriage entrance and a spacious front porch, the roof of which is supported by massive columns. It was the summer home of the Beaucet family for many years. Chef Pol Martin was one of many visitors who spent time in this house.
